This policy explains how Mougu ("we," "us," or "our") handles information on the Mougu website and iOS app.
Information collected on the website
We collect email addresses submitted through our waitlist signup form. We do not ask for names, addresses, phone numbers, or other personal information through that form.
Information handled by the iOS app
- Camera: The front camera and TrueDepth face data are used to estimate chewing from jaw and mouth movement during a meal. Video and face images are not recorded, saved, or transmitted; processing happens on the device.
- Meal data: Chew counts, scores, meal duration, history, and settings are stored on the device and are not sent to our servers.
- Notifications: Reminder times and related settings are used on the device when reminders are enabled.
- Purchases: Apple and RevenueCat are used to process purchases and verify premium subscription status. Mougu does not receive or store payment card information.
How we use information
Information is used to provide the service, show chewing and meal history, deliver reminders, verify purchases, and send website updates. We do not use it for advertising or behavioral tracking.
Unsubscribing
You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email we send.
Deleting data
To request deletion of your website email address, contact us below. Meal history is stored locally on your device and is removed from the device when you delete the app.
Cookies and analytics
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may log basic infrastructure-level access data.
We do not use proprietary tracking cookies or third-party analytics tools.

Email delivery is handled by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), and subscription status is managed with RevenueCat. See their policies:
